Shot few days ago. Finally I was able to get decent shot of male Northern Harrier. These males are not easy to find in close range.
There is about 1 to 7 - 10 ratio between males and females , there are tons of females but few males. Males are brighter and have grey color on top. This is why they are called "Grey Ghost". Beautiful birds. D2Hs, Nikon 500mm (MF) f/4 P ED IF + TC-16A (1.6X AF). 1/1600, ISO-1000, f/9, on tripod. Please click on the image for uncompressed view, thank you. |
