Taken in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.  Found this bird in November off a remote road.  It hunted a large field with a tremendous vole population, from the same perch daily, and paid no attention to me whatsoever.  It flew right by me to capture a vole 200+ yards behind me.

A great takeoff pose, Paul. The eye contact is excellent, and the snow flakes create a great winter mood. The framing is perfect.

Superb shot. I love the intense look and down wing position. Nicely captured Paul!
