It was 2007 when I saw and photographed these birds in the same trees same spot. Even more interesting to me that I first met a gentleman there, a professional nature photographer whom I heard the name of and saw his wonderful images in publications but never met in person up until then.
Eleven years later the same trees, the same rare bird and the same gentleman who joined us a little bit later. He is older now, but still
going strong, still carries the heavy canon 500 lens and tripod.
His work has been very inspirational to me.
Thanks for looking.

Perfect color match between the berries and the bird's head. Nice details.

Great colors-really nice shot. We had a few here a couple of days ago. Sorry, I can't change your title, but I believe you can edit this yourself. Or probably Ron can do it...
Anyway-wonderful shot!

Super colour harmony Karl. Interesting story with only a tiny bit of info missing... (an introduction to said gentleman?). Must have been a good and memorable experience. That in itself brought a smile to me..

The entire image is so colourful Karl. Nice colours on the bird and on the berries and a beautiful bokeh effect in the BG make it too perfect.

Regards.

Karl, a great behavioral shot of the bird feasting on berries. As usual, the detail is exceptional. Great story and image.

Great shot and opportunity Karl. I made it out to the 2007 event as well, with the same gentlemen you described. His quality of work is what I aspire to. Great guy and every time I shoot with him, I learn something new.
