Good ole' South Cackalacky sunrise made even better with a Belted Kingfisher posing and Great Egret lifting off. On the fence whether was was a Landscape or Bird post....hope I made the right choice.

Sure, these lovely silhouettes of the Kingfisher and the Egret set off by this beautiful warm sunrise fit right in here, Drew. Very clever to get two birds relatively close to each other in this scene. Very nice.

Love scenes like this- the birds do complete the picture, which would be poorer without them. Works for me, here! Well done.

Great post for either category. Very compelling scene with a well-timed capture. This brightness of the sun and its reflection on one side, contrasted by the silhouettes of the Kingfisher and the Egret on the other side, makes this image special.
