It was a dark and stormy morning... :wink: -shooting at high ISO-testing limits. Cloned out some feeder debris in the snow. Think I used a tripod for this one.
D500, 1.4 TC, 500 f/4  lens. 1/5000,f/9,ISO 8000

A beauty, Cindy. Love the look back pose, the perch, and the snowy background. Great detail too. For shooting the D500 at ISO 8000, this image looks great. What noise reduction software did you use?

Hi Ron
Thanks- I used Camera raw processing in CC bridge, then processed in Photoshop CC. I find the camera raw bridge function is often quite good (It's under the sharpen section) . I do recall this did not, surprisingly, actually need aggressive noise reduction. The light was fairly good for this shot.

Nice shot considering ISO-8000 on crop sensor. There is some noise as expected , but it looks good with nice details.
