American White Pelican photographed on November 16, 2018. The pelicans were feeding on schools of shad, a small baitfish. This photograph was taken just moments before the last rays of the sun went below the horizon. Please click on image to view full size. Thank you.

Sublime light, perfect expose, excellent head turn and the fish (many) in the beak tells the story, Ron.

I love the golden glow of the last sun rays. Nice low angle and beak full of fish. Nicely done Ron!

A real beauty! Great capture with all the shad in it’s bill. Nice light and low angle of capture.

Very sweet light on this bird with great detail in the white plumage. The multiple fish in its beak are a bonus.

Just gorgeous, Ron-the warm light is so lovely, the fish in beak tell the story, and the overall colors are so harmonious. Even the eye is giving you a "look", seemingly. Just wonderful in every way. A prize-winner if I ever saw one. :).

Wonderful capture of the feeding behaviour, Ron - this beauty has scooped up quite a beak full of smallfry! Lovely glint in that bright eye and the late light is beautiful. Superb image!
