Taken at Whitefish Point in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Slight crop. The yellow eye identifies this Sharpie as a juvenile. Adults have red eyes and some birds on the way to becoming adults have orange eyes. On a good day all 3 eye color varieties will be abundant at this location. And many of the Sharpies will have a full crop after eating a songbird or 2 before attempting to cross Lake Superior.
