Taken at Whitefish Point in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula.

Slight crop.

The yellow eye identifies this Sharpie as a juvenile.  Adults have red eyes and some birds on the way to becoming adults have orange eyes.  On a good day all 3 eye color varieties will be abundant at this location.  And many of the Sharpies will have a full crop after eating a songbird or 2 before attempting to cross Lake Superior.

That's a sharp Sharpie. ;). Really stands out against the background. Sounds like you have a lot of them. We get them and Cooper's...eating songbirds. :(. I wish they would get the mice instead......

Very nicely done, Paul. The yellow eye really stands out well, and very interesting information about Sharpie eye color.
