WHEN OUT ON A BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY, IT WAS COLD BUT NICE TO BE OUT, THIS WAS A FIRST FOR ME WITH THIS WOODPECKER SPECIOUS, WE DROVE SOUTH ALL THE WAY TO THE VERMONT BORDER, STILL STAYING ON THE QUEBEC SIDE TO SEE AND CAPTURE THEM.

Very nice image Peter. I didn't realize these birds could be found that far north. It is an attractive woodpecker and well worth your trip to get it.

A great shot of this male, Peter. Classic pose, nice light, and an attractive perch with colorful lichen. Great job!
