Shot 2 days ago. This little kinglet was puffed up like a little ball.
D4, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/250, ISO-5600, f/5.6, DX mode (1.5X in the camera), handheld, VR-ON @500mm

Great view of the golden crown, Ludo. Love the way the kinglet is puffed up. Sweet eye contact too. Very nice image!

the orange and golden are awesome kinglets to shot when then stop moving ( NEVER ) this one is nice with the crown and details showing so well,
good stuff MAKO.

Ludo, such a sweet little puffball and what a great view of that namesake golden crown!  The intricate network of branches is like a maze and creates an interesting, balanced pattern.
