Superb action shot Himadri! That is one huge earth worm that egret caught.

I don’t think this is a cattle egret, unless they are called that over there. Really nice capture. Water droplets make it special. I believe it is a form of the Great Egret. Note the description of the great egret here, as compared to the intermediate:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_egret

Then neck and gape line also differentiate it from the intermediate egret.

Himadri, a great image of the egret with a meal in its bill. The water drops make it special. Excellent work!

Himadri, lovely profile pose and nice hint of habitat.  The droplets falling off the prize catch and the glimmer from the side lighting is icing on the cake - very cool capture!

Great behaviour capture, Himadri! A lovely clear view of what could be a small snake? and a bonus with the swirling water droplets.

May be a snake. I try to find the ID of this snake or anything else.

I’m pretty sure it’s an eel.
