Snowy Egret photographed in Santa Cruz, California. Always a joy to observe and photograph these interesting birds. Nice side-light on this one, which is my favorite use of sunlight.

Tony, lovely profile study, the wispy long feathers below chest add further against the dark BG. Interesting the way the highlighted part of perch stands out and the the shaded part just disappears, abstract and mysterious.
