Fantastic image Lynn! Wish it was mine. I wouldn't change a thing.

Great image! One minor suggestion. It looks like there is something crossing the eye that I would touch up. Otherwise it is really nice.

Appreciate the suggestion, Joe, I noticed it myself and all the images had the same white mark (hope we're talking about the same thing), so it seems to be a natural marking on this individual, and also the way the light hit it.  Agree it could be a good option to remove so as not to "catch" the viewer's eye (double entendre intended :)).  Thanks!

Super nice take-off shot Lynn! Beautiful evening light and the kicked off dirt just add to the action.

It appears across the middle of the eye, not the edge. I think the light color on the edge of the eye is cool and unique. What I was referring to looks like the inner eyelid(?) that covers the eye when they blink(not the catchlight). It crosses diagonally. Maybe a feather? Not a big deal unless you blow it up. I use an iPad for viewing and it is sometimes deceiving.

What a gorgeous hawk, and this image is a work of art, Lynn! The spread wings, fanned tail, slightly tilted head and the power lift off with the flying soil is so beautifully captured. What a pleasure to view. A large, framed print would be stunning!

you nailed this one perfectly, from the bg colors to the sharp detailed hawk shot, the added image bonus is the dirt flying of his talons, good stuff LYNN.

What a fantastic image, Lynn. The dirt lifted on take off perfectly emphasizes the action in this photograph and goes a long way in telling the story. Congrats. on this beauty.
