I really like the head turn that lends a lot of character. Enough variation in the sky tones to keep things interesting.

Paul, very nice spread wings and tail pose, the little twist of head makes me wonder what she is espying upon and adds further interest.

She was chasing a kestrel that dared to capture a grasshopper near her fall stopover hunting spot.  I will post that image later (with both birds), but the Kestrel isn't sharp; I stayed on the Merlin.
