Shot 2 months ago in evening. Light was gone and I didn't want to push ISO too high, so I use 1/20 sec SS. The Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 has amazing VR 4 1/2 stops, allows me to shoot such low shutter speeds handheld.
D2Hs, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/20, ISO-1400, f/5.6, handheld, VR-ON @500mm

I like the shot of the GHO and especially those captured eyes, the soft look on the leaves on the left works well, not to crazy about the bg donuts effect, nicely done MAKO.

Very nice image on its own right but the super low shutter speed makes it special, Ludo.

Ludo, great job with the low shutter speed, love how the perch comes in at an angle, and how prominently the Owl is perched.  Wonderful eye contact too - a beauty!

Super hand held frame, Ludo. The VR in that lens is awesome. Excellent detail and eye contact. Lovely image.
