We had  quite a bit of snow this AM- it was rather dark, but as hoped, "our" Fox Sparrow showed up, hungry. Has been around for almost 2 weeks now. Delighted!

This is even better than the last, Cindy! Love the way you were able to isolate the sparrow using the snowy surroundings. The small leaf in the background adds to the reality of this lovely image. Well done!

Excellent image, the bird pops against the snow.
Ours has left by now that I'm happy with for the sake of the bird.
Might come next fall and will bring some friends with him.

Lovely image of this little beauty in the snow, Cindy! Leaving the leaf in the upper right works so well to add depth and interest. Well done!

Must be a bit of a shock to get the first dump of snow- where has this year gone!

Carol.

Thanks Karl. I think mine probably left after this last storm too, but I'll keep looking.

Thanks, Carol-I would have preferred even more leaves or bushes, but hey, that's what I got...and some cute not-so-sharp pictures of Foxy reaching up to grab something. I prefer those!
Winter has definitely hit hard with snow and ice. Ugh!  Snow=OK, ice=yikes!

Thank you Lynn! It's pretty special to get to see this bird for a short time, usually in the fall and spring migration. I always feel honored to be  temporary host and perhaps provide some much needed nourishment for these beautiful sparrows. (And all my feathered friends for that matter).
