Shot today through my closed window in the living room. The brown BG is out of focus stained cedar fence. I didn't dare to try open the window, more likely would  scare the bird away.
D2Hs, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/125, ISO-900, f/5.6, handheld, VR-ON @500mm.

Ludo, great detail (through glass) and I really like the composition. Agree with Carol on the “feisty expression.” Very nice image!

Ludo, this little hummer looks like a pretty little flower on a branch!  Neat with the flared gorget, interesting BG color and dainty perch.
