As you note, a very “challenging” bird to photograph, but what a fine image you captured, Karl. The detail is impeccable! Well done!

Amazing details here Karl! You are correct, these creepers are so hard to shoot since they blend so well and are constantly moving.

Karl, sweet image of this dainty little bird - wonderful profile pose with a nice show of how those nails easily clutch on to the craggy bark.  Very well done on this challenging subject!

A nemesis bird for sure- their feathers always look blurry to me when I get a shot, no matter how sharp. You got nailed it- can really see the feather detail. A perfect environment on the tree. Congrats on the D850!
