I often find the female Mallards more interesting subjects than the males, especialy in warm edge of day light. This photo illustrates that so well.

What a beautiful image. I have always loved the Mallards and feel they are underrated in their beauty. You have certainly shown this one in such gorgeous light. Well done.

Carol, pretty lady and image, soaking in the warm light with a Mona Lisa smile!  Curved perch ties in nicely with her curved shape and the complementary BG pulls it all together - lovely work.

Awww-she's so sweet with her cocked head-you always find animals with such wonderful expressive looks. Love the warm light and those bright orange feet. Love it!
