Nice pose, with a great view of the unique bill. I like how the perch and background complement the Crossbill. Very nice!

I'd suggest you frame it and hang it on the wall for all to see! ;). Beautiful presentation- love the diagonal log and pose.

I really like the shot of the CB, but the shot 's at Cabin Lake have become routine...doesn't anyone have a feeding shot on the cones?

David, The colors throughout the image are excellent. I might have cloned a piece of the bark to put over the cut branch, or cloned the branch out completely? I'm seeing some good images using the Sigma 15-600.

Nicely done David.  as mentioned, it is always interesting how often the colours of the bird compliment the bg.  nice!
