Nikon D850, 300mm f/2.8 lens, Nikon 1.4 TC, 1/2000 sec at f/8.0, ISO 400. If you look closely, you can see a red ring beginning to develop around the eye. This is usually the first indication that it is a juvenile male and not a female. |
