Nice portrait Karl! We have tons of them on our yard . I just filed the feeder with the seeds and they found it really fast :-).

They are "snowbirds" and indeed harbingers of winter, Karl. This is a handsome specimen, and it is so detailed I think I can see every feather when viewed large. Well done.

Karl, Even nicer when viewed large. I'm jealous of the nice green mossy perch. Something we do not have in South Texas.
