Taken in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula. Image taken just after the bird flew from a low perch.

The fore wing, on the down stroke, beautifully shows off its detail, Paul. And the background tones complement the hawk perfectly. An exceptional photograph!

the dark on dark works well with-in this image and the catch light in the eye helps a lot, to make your hawk pop out, well done.
