This is last of the 3 shots taken in this series. This one has a direct eye contact. There is nothing like when GH-Owl is starring right into your eyes, even thru viewfinder you can almost feel those powerful eyes. In this image I removed (cloned out  white poop on the branch)
D2Hs, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/25, ISO-3200, f/5.6, handheld, VR-ON @420mm.

Please click on the image for uncompressed view, thank you.

A beauty, Ludo! As usual, the detail is excellent. And the eye contact is as good as it gets. Wonderful shot.

Ludo, striking portrait - that stare really grabs at you!  Love the way the colors in BG play up the eyes. The sturdy, moss-covered perch works very well for this formidable Owl, as does the vertical presentation - very well done.

All came together in this shot; nice pose, soft light, excellent perch and background, Ludo. One of the best of the series.

Wonderful image! Superb detail and great look back pose with such an intense look. Lovely autumn colours complement the owl beautifully and the mossy branch makes a great perch. An all round beauty, Ludo!
