From out of darkness into light ...
Central CA, 1DX2, 600f/4, 1/250 @ f/4, ISO 1000, Better Beamer, vehicle headlight assist in achieving focus, red eye removed.

Wow, I am so jealous Lynn! Amazing shot with dark BG. This is good as it gets. I have tried same thing with the flash in the night with Great-horned Owls and I got some so so shots in the woods , but I was hoping to get them in the open.
Superb flash work here Lynn, you are magician with the light :-)

This is absolutely superb, Lynn! Love the composition using the diagonal flight angle, and the detail is impeccable. The dark background showcases the owl beautifully. This image is in a league all of its own. Congratulations. 8)
