Cool image and a colorful catfish that just adds to it! How long did it take to down the fish? I saw a Great Egret play with one for about 20 minutes and then fly off with it to another area. It was trying to twist off the barbs before swallowing the catfish.

This was the image when I arrived on the scene in a boat.  From this point on, it only took about 5-minutes until it was down the hatch.  Thanks for looking Joe.....

Excellent shot, Jake! Great view of the heron and catfish in a nice natural setting. The detail is superb in the uncompressed view.

Behavior at its best, Jake! Love the markings on the catfish from Brazil. 8)
