Juvenile Redtail?

Encountered this Hawk in Colorado.

After shooting and then observing the images it was revealed it had somehow lost most of it's beak. There were meat residuals on the remaining area, hoping it was able to continue hunting and surviving.

CANON 7DMkII, CANON 500 F4IS, CANON 1.4XTCII, ISO200, 1/1250, F7.1

Terry, that's sad to hear, but it sounds like it's still able to eat and seems to be doing well.  Very nice stance and stare captured, has lots of attitude!

Nice pose and detail. Consider removing the portion of the branch sticking out of his wing?

Nice looking bird and image, feel sorry for the loss of beak which is very important for a bird.
