I've been spending a lot of time lately at the local Pheasants Forever grassland/wetland area near my town. Lucky for me it's hundreds of acres of native prairie and mixed open wetland that hardly ever sees any use. Lots of migrants and residents to point a lens at year round. This song sparrow is about two feet off the ground in very heavy cover, and landed in the perfect spot of light, but still allowed a keyhole of frame for the lens.

Beautiful job of capturing this sparrow in native habitat. Nice lighting and a sweet pose. It's refreshing to know the shot was not set up. Great job!

Lovely natural view of this little beauty with excellent detail, and surrounded by its wild habitat. The sweet light is the icing on the cake,Drew.

Drew, a wonderful peek-through view, calling attention to your nicely lit bird in natural surrounds.  Must be great to have access to acres of prairie/wetlands to play in!
