love the way this colourful bird pops.  For my taste, a crop off the left makes it stronger but that is my taste not necessarily yours Dean so get that.  Nice one

Sorry Ron but the Jacamar and Hummingbird are not related although they do look similar.  The Jacamar is from the family GALBULIDAE while the Hummingbird is from the family TROCHILIDAE.  Both the male and female Jacamar incubate and care for their chicks while only the female Hummingbird is solely responsible for this duty.
I got this info from my bird book on Brazil birds.

Thanks for setting me straight, Jake. The appearance is so similar, and when the title included "rufous" I just assumed it was a hummer.
