 A shy bird of the marshes, this bird is unique. It is the only bird known in the bird kingdom, wherein the male has pouches under his wings. When chicks are not yet able to swim and they are threatened, he will tuck the chicks into the pouches and fly them to safety. Simply amazing. I only got to see this one and it was for about 30 seconds, so lucky to get the shot. Canon 7D Mark II ISO 400 f/7.1 1/400 |
