I like the composition with the heron looking across and through the frame. The rim light around the heron works well, and I'm pleased you left some visible detail and color in the heron, rather than making it a totally black silhouette. Nicely done, Leigh!

I agree!  Just one small nit - I would be tempted to tone down that really bright spot on the horizon line on the left side as it catches my eye.
