Like the OOF habitat feel in the bg which seperates the warbler,a beautiful image.

A very natural appearing scene, Paul. Love the rustic perch and background foliage. I’ve noticed in this and other images you have posted that you sometimes use an extension tube on the 600 to increase magnification. It sure did a great job here on this beautiful warbler. Very nice!

Ron, With the Mark 2 and 600 IS lens combo I just wanted to be able to focus when the bird was relatively close. The minimum focusing distance with that combo was too long otherwise. The 12 mm ext tube was enough. If I used the 25mm tube the camera had a harder time acquiring focus, which, with constantly moving warblers, can hinder results.

Paul, thanks I should have mentioned closer focusing. After all, closer focusing with extension tubes increases magnification.
