Beautiful image, Jake, but I believe it's a pied lapwing, not a collared plover.

A much more striking bird than the collared plover.  I wish I'd have seen one when I was down there.

The ground scene gives this striking bird a nice composition, and the high angle you took (instead of ground level) worked in your favor.
