Great timing to capture the wings straight up in preparation for take off. The splashing water is a great accent.

A fine capture of imminent take off against a pretty background. Well timed to catch the vertical wings and the water splashes too!

It looks like a Pallas's gull (Larus ichthyaetus) to me.
Also known as Great Black-headed Gull.

I love shots of gulls with the wings raised like this. The splashing water adds to the narrative.
