I photographed this Bald Eagle in Homer, Alaska a few years ago. It was fairly approachable, and allowed me to take a number of shots. This was my favorite. I cloned out catchlights in the eyes from my flash, and I cropped this to 4X5 format for portrait presentation. Please click on image to view full size. Thanks.

A classic in-your-face portrait done very well! Good call on the f16.

Oh my!! What a wonderful expression. If this doesn't say "Eagle", I don't know what does! Amazing portrait, Ron. Love it!

Beautifully done, Ron! Often when birds are photographed from this perspective they can just look comical. You have managed to keep the imposing and powerful aura that is the essence of the eagle, and that stare could strip paint off a car at 200 feet! The exposure and detail are superb.

Wonderful shot. Love it!

Carol.
