Shot 2 days ago in the evening, almost in full darkness.
Camera struggled even to focus on the owl , there was no light left.
Shooting with 13 years old D2Hs 4.1 MB at ISO-1600 I didn't expect anything good.
When I downloaded images to my computer I was surprised that it was not bad.
Sometime you don't know what the limits are in anything until you try it.
D2Hs, 200-500mm f/5.6
1/15, ISO-1600, f/5.6, handheld, VR-ON @500mm

I agree, "not bad" at all, Ludo. Another handsome addition to your owl series. I like the pose and detail very much. Under the low light conditions, I would say you did very well. I admire your almost daily endeavor to shoot this species. :)

Nice series, Ludo. Amazing result given all the disadvantages you mentioned.

Really nice! Most of us would've given up by now but you kept at it and came away with a great shot!

Another wonderful capture under difficult conditions. So cool that you even tried. Great fun series.

A sweet pose and almost wistful expression in this lovely image, Ludo!
