One of the juvies brought the "catch" to the nest to show off with,
but nobody was home. Obviously he imitated the fishing motion of Daddy, but only a piece of leaves was caught. Once I watched a juvi Red-tailed Hawk dropping and catching a piece of bark over and over, obviously practicing for hunting of mice. Shot 27 minutes before sunset. Canon 5DM3 Canon 100-400 f 4.5-5.6 II. + 1.4x III. ISO 2500 1/2500 s F 8.0 |
