It's taken me 15 years of trying to get one decent swallow-in-flight image.

Terrific image and framing of the birds. I like the wings down and wings up - I think that adds to the image interest.

Amazing you shot this in vertical format and got both birds nicely positioned within the frame.

You got two good frames of this flying swallow, Sandy and that isn't easy, so well done for that. You do know that putting them together makes a composite, which belongs in Photo and Digital Art. If you can show me the RAW file of this image with the two birds, then I will apologise for what I'm thinking, but if not, then I will move it.

Missed your message, sorry.
How do I post the original here? The file is way too big to be accepted

Carol, I have asked you and Cindy repeatedly to email me instructions to send a 90MB file through either NS or yahoo, my server.
You have not replied.
I have tried both and failed. Neither will accept a file over 25 MB.

Ron, I never said anything about shooting in vertical format   This was shot in usual horizontal format - along with the other 300 images during this session, and CROPPED to an awkward but better vertical format.

Sandy, even I need some time off from NSN - I took a whole day!  I did send you a message earlier this morning telling you what I was doing, as I don't know how to send/receive such a large file either.

Sandy, with all due respect, when you post an image in vertical format, and you fail to mention cropping, I trust you shot it the way you presented it – in vertical format. The Posting Guidelines, which we discussed on May 21, 2018 in Tres Amigos, suggest you provide cropping percentages at the time of posting. My comment above was a compliment, thinking you pulled this shot off in vertical format. I can assure you had I known this was a crop from horizontal, as you now disclose, my comment would not have been the same. It is simply not the duty of a moderator or a forum contributor to guess what you have done to your images. The best practice, Sandy, is to disclose cropping and any changes to content at the time of posting. And enter significantly altered images in the gallery intended for that purpose – Photo & Digital Art.
