Unique and interesting Monique.
Does it eat carrion as well, like other vultures?

Hi Jake

Unlike most birds of prey and especially vultures, it feeds primarily on plant matter such as the fleshy husks of Oil and Raphia Palm fruits.  It will also eat other grains and fruits and occasionally also small molluscs, fish and reptiles e.g.crabs, frogs and snails. So to answer your question, it does not feed off carrion.

You handled the backlight very nicely, Monique. Very good composition and great look-back pose.
