Reed Warbler feeding Juv Cuckoo

1D MKIV | 500f4 | ISO 2000 | 1/250 @ f/6.3
A female Cuckoo lays her egg in another birds nest(this time it happens to be a Reed Warblers nest) the bird will think it's there own and raise it up regardless of the Juveniles Cuckoo size!. As you can see in the shoot the Juvenile is a monster up to the Reed Warblers(there were two of them) that were constantly bringing insects to the never ending begging call of the Cuckoo

I love images that tell a surprising story. Seems like the juvenile Cuckoo could swallow the adult warbler.

Terrific shot and illustration of this strange behavior. I think the cuckoo also sometimes pushes the native bird's eggs out of the nest......
