IN ONE OF THESE LOCATION THAT I VISIT SOME OF THESE FIELDS ARE SAVED FOR HAY MAKING, WHICH ARE VERY FEW THAT ARE LEFT FOR JUST THAT PERPOSE, THAT IS WAY EVERY YEAR IN SPRING THE BOBOLINK COME HERE TO DO THERE NESTING AND THERE FINISHED BY THE END OF JULY, JUST IN TIME FOR THE HAY TO BE CUTTED, MY NUMBERS ARE ABOUT 20-30 COUPLES IN TWO LARGE FIELDS.

That is being done here in Vermont too- so nice to see and (mostly) hear the Bobolinks in these fields. A really lovely , atmospheric shot.
