Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas April 28, 2018.

Nikon D850, 300mm lens, 1.4 TC, 1/800 sec at f/9.0, ISO 720.

The Olive Sparrow is not shown real often on this site.  In the U.S., they reside only in deep South Texas.

These have to be near the top of pretty sparrows. Great image, Gene.

Nice bird in nice environment. I didn't know this sparrow is not common at Laguna Seca.

Peter, Olive Sparrows are common at Laguna Seca Ranch.  In the U.S. they only reside in deep South Texas.  They're so common at the ranch that I often overlook them.

Beautiful image with sweet detail in the uncompressed view and such a pretty colour palette!
