Nice group shot Leigh! I love Sanderlings, such a nice little shot bird. My favorite is when they fly in large flock above the water and turning.

I like how you isolated the focus on the two closest birds, Leigh. What I find interesting is the view off all the legs – cool. Great low perspective, as usual.

It a thrill to see these sanderlings on the beach and to take picture of them. Nice photo with low angle and nice BG.

These are Semipalmated Sandpipers. Smaller heads relative to body, and lack of speckled head and breast help to differentiate. Also, the bird on the right side with its left foot out of the water is showing off his/her hind toe, a digit that Sanderlings lack altogether! Love the overall colour palate of this shot.
