Shot this morning. Sun was up already early morning. I was hoping for some cloud cover to create a nice soft light. Fairly heavy crop.
I opened up the aperture wide open to blur background as much as I could.
D4, Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6
1/500, ISO-160, f/5.6 @500mm, handheld.

Nice work with the new Nikon gear, Ludo. I really like the pose and framing. This is such a striking species!

The head 'gear' on the bird is very warrior like and the black eye stripe adds to mood. All in all a striking pose.
