These birds are the most common cockatoos in Australia and are found all over Oz. They are very comic birds, very vocal and entertaining. This is one of a pair walking towards the other. Taken in misty rain and low light.

Lovely colours and detail in subtle light, like the stride of this beautiful bird too. Try a horizontal composition if you have enough space behind the first bird.

Lovely color in the plumage, Kim, and good job of catching the bird in stride. Nice work!

Stunning bird - great to hear they are so common. Please order me at least 5 for our Australia trip August-October. :-)
Sweet detail, nice pose and branch. I'd consider burning the BG a bit to reduce the bright areas.
Wonderful image!

Galah, one of my all time favorite psittacines. They are just great comics and you have captured that crazy walk/hop, head down and cheek feathers up!
Really nice BG as well. Nicely done.

Thank you all for the comments. Unfortunately I do not have and additional side space as I shot in portrait mode as I was shooting King parrots who have long tails and saw the Galah out of the corner of my eye and grabbed a shot of him.
