Greater Roadrunner & Western Diamondback Rattlesnake
Green Valley, Arizona
D5, 300/2.8, ISO 800, f6.3, 1/8000
The fastest action you will ever see in the natural world is a Roadrunner and Rattlesnake battle (hence the 1/8000 shutter) More images of this in my next newsletter.
Got to share this event with my workshop participants last week.

Wow, great shot! Is this an intimidation pose, or just the perfect capture of a fleeting moment?

Amazing action shot Alan! I'll bet the Roadrunner got the snake for a lunch, one of their favorite foods and yes the Roadrunners has incredible reflexes.
