In these parts they are quite uncommon though they are occasionally seen in grasslands of the plains. But I was absolutely astonished to see this beauty at an altitude of close to 8000 meters at the Himalayas. This is a shot taken under extreme precarious light conditions and the subject was quite at a distance. But the peculiarity of the T-shaped posture and the stare prompted me to post this image at this elite platform.

Lovely wing pose and head on flight shot against a nice bg, I think you got them on their return journey as passage migrant at an altitude of 3000m.
