This is the behavior often observed shortly after the owlets hatched. The female often stays in the cavity, taking the prey from its partner and goes back down to feed the owlets. No matter how bad the weather is, they continue to hunt and feed the owlets. 1DxII | 100-400mm | HH

Great behavior image, Troy. Perfect timing to catch both owls in their respective roles while caring for their young.

Thank you Ron, I am slowly going through the shots from this nest.
I hope to return to document the Red morph soon.
