Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas  May 2, 2018.

Nikon D850, 300mm lens, 1.4 TC, 1/800 sec at f/9.0, ISO 500.

Don't remember seeing a Catbird posted on the site?  They're easy to see, but usually stay in the underbrush and the canopy of the trees.  Was lucky that this one came out for a clean shot.  They're about the size of a Robin.

Details are better if you click on the image.

Nice photo of a catbird Gene. When I was a kid living in Central Pennsylvania, Catbirds were abundant. I often saw them in the shrubs in the back yard. That was 60 years ago. Now? Who knows.

(Don't remember seeing a Catbird posted on the site?) - I just did a search for Catbirds, and 213 matches came up!    I thought I'd seen quite a few over the years, Gene.  That doesn't take anything away though from this lovely image of yours.

Carol,
Help me with my ignorance.  How do I do a search on the site for a specific bird?  and, Does the search show when the birds were posted?
Thanks.......

Go to the top right of your screen and you will see the white strip 'search the community'.  Just enter the bird or subject you want, in this case catbird, and you will get a list showing all the posts, with who posted them and when.  I hope it works for you Gene.  :)
