It was fun having a couple of these birds land right next to us while we were shooting on a sandbar on our Costa Rica trip.
Canon 1DX II, 300F4 1/1600 F6.3, iso 1250, manual exposure, lying on the sand, handheld.

What a very cool bird. I have never heard of one but am going to Brazil in August and hope I see one. Great shot Nate.
