Dear all,
Just back from my jaunt in West Bengal and Assam with Debrapatim.... a really enjoyable experience, both for the company and the rich ildlife.
By luck we found this KF who stayed with us for a bit, and tried to swallow its catch... It was partially obscured by leaves, so we had to rely on gusts of wind to clear the bird. it was also so close that with my 600mm lens and the 2x converter, fitting the swallowing attempts proved just possible... for another post. Barely cropped to fit my 3x4 preferred format and no post processing, like all my photos.
Thank you for commenting if you are inspired.

Pretty amazing! Did it ever swallow that big meal? Great shot!

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! The fish, as long as the Kingfisher, looks like a challenging meal. Nice detail and background.
